The Jeep Owners of Murray is holding their First Annual Jeep/Truck Off-Road Show on Saturday, May 23rd at Central Park in Murray! Registration is from 8:30 to 11am and judging starts at 11:15. Cost is $20 per vehicle to enter the show and $10 per vehicle to enter the event with entry fees and proceeds from raffles donated to Chestnut Park for renovations. 

The 3rd annual Little Black Dress Affair at Riverwoods Church in Benton is Wednesday, May 27th at 6pm. Enjoy a lavish evening with a full course dinner, fashin, fun and live music. Author Holly Smith will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the church or online at riverwoodschurch.com. Proceeds to benefit the Daughters of Hope Ministry. 

Tomorrow’s Hope is conducting a shoe collection through May 29th to raise funds for their ministries. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes at the Clinic on 211 North Brewer Street in Paris. Shoe donations will also support micro-enterprises in developing nations and reduce what goes into landfills.

The Paris-Henry County Heritage Center is hosting a Quilt Show from May 12th through the 30th. All quilts owned and created by Henry County quilters featuring both antique and contemporary creations. The show is open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday through Thursday, Saturday from 10am to 2pm and admission is free. 

The 7th annual Hope & Opportunity Tournament is Saturday, June 6th at the Tennessean Golf Course in Springville. Registration fee is $60 per player for teams of 4 and includes cart, green fees and lunch. Check-in starts at 7am with a shotgun start at 8am. $1000 prize will be presented to the lowest scoring team. For more information call the Tennessean at 731-642-7271. Proceeds to benefit R.E.A.L. Playhouse In The Park will host the Bourbon Tour Kentucky on June 12th at 7pm. There will be a tasting of 4 Kentucky Bourbons along with live music, heavy Hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, swag bag and good fellowship. The “Oh, What a Savior!” concert by the David Johnson Chorus will be held Saturday, June 6th at 7pm at First Baptist Church in Paris. No admission will be charged. For more information, visit davidjohnsonchorus.com.  

The Calloway County Charity Golf Scramble hosted by Sheriff Sam Steger will be held Friday, June 12th at Oaks Country Club with siren start at 8:30am. It’s a 4-person scramble with prizes awarded and exciting door prizes as well! Proceeds to benefit the Kentucky Sheriff’s Boys & Girls Ranch. Four Rivers Watershed Watch is looking for volunteers to help collect water quality samples in the Four Rivers region. There is no cost to participate and training is provided. Those interested can contact Maggie Morgan at 270-559-4422 or visit 4rww.jpf.org.

The Stewart County Summer Food Service Program will show movies and offer free lunch for kids 18 and younger at the Visitor’s Center. Dates are June 4th, 13th, 18th and 25th; and July 9th, 11th and 23rd from 11am to 2pm. Age appropriate movies will be shown and popcorn will be provided or the adults.
