Froggy 103.7 is hoppy to announce that Froggyland Idol is back for another year, and this year not only will we be looking for the most talented person to open up at Froggy Fest, but we’re looking for a cure too.  This year there will be a $5.00 entry fee to sing at the open auditions, with the proceeds going to the Froggy 103.7 Relay For Life team!

There are going to be more opportunities than ever to audition for Froggyland Idol this year, with open auditions in Mayfield, Union City, Paris and Murray.  See the schedule below for times and dates.

Plus, it will be easier than ever this year to sign up.  No more waiting in line to sign up and fill out paperwork.  Now you will be able to stop into participating sponsors and pick up your entry form, so you can take home, fill it out and be ready.  That gives you more time to prepare yourself on the night of competition.

Froggyland Idol is the annual competition to find a local artist the opportunity to sing on the big stage at Froggy Fest.  This year’s show will have The Charlie Daniels Band, Tracy Lawrence and Jason Meadows!  With open auditions all over Froggyland, everyone will get a chance to sing.  Contestants will want to prepare their best 30-45 second a cappella performance for open auditions.  Each open audition a number of singers will be chosen to move on to the quarterfinals.  After the quarterfinals 30 contestants will be chosen to move on to the semifinals on May 22, 2008.  That’s where the field will be narrowed down to the top 10 who will perform in the live finale on May 28, 2008.  All of final rounds are taking place at the historic Lovett Auditorium on the campus of Murray State University.
