General Rules:

1. Contestants will abide by the rules set forth by Forever Communications and Froggy 103.7.
2. Entries will be accepted until 6:00pm Thursday, May 8, 2008 ( The final open audition)
3. Entry consists of the official Froggyland Idol entry form and registration fee of $5.00, U.S. currency only.  A contestant must pay the registration fee and complete and entry form for each open audition competed in.
4. Entries should be brought to the location of the open audition attended.
5. Employees of Forever Communications and other local electronic media and their immediate family members are ineligible. Immediate family is defined as spouse, sibling, grandparent or parent.
6. Contestants must be 9 years old or older. Those under the age of 18 must me accompanied by parent or legal guardian at the competitions.
7. Each open audition will have a number of contestants (to be determined) selected to advance to the quarterfinals May 14, 2008, then 30 contestants will advance to the semifinals May 21, 2008 and 10 will advance to the finale May 28, 2008.
8. The 10 finalists will each be allowed to perform one song during the finale, aired live on Froggy 103.7.
9. Sound check, times, etc will be discussed with the 10 finalists when they receive their finalist notification.
10. No backup band will be provided. Contestants must provide their own musical accompaniment (i.e. Guitar player, keyboard player, karaoke CD).
11. All decisions of Forever Communications and the judges are final.

Performance

1. Individuals may perform only once per open audition, but may perform at as many open auditions as they wish.
2. Each act must perform live, vocally (and or/ instrumentally in the finale). No special lighting, props or special effects may be used.
3. The amount or performance time given to each contestant will be determined by the judges.
4. All performances must be done in good taste: no music or lyrics that Froggy 103.7 considers offensive may be performed.
5. Performances will be awarded 0-7 points in each of the following categories 1)Appearance, 2)Showmanship, 3)Creativity & Originality, 4)Pitch / Vocal Ability, 5)Overall
6. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the highest number of points given in the Showmanship category. A second tiebreaker, if needed, will be by secret vote.

Promotional Authorization:

1.        By Submitting an entry form, the act (including any person accompanying the act during the finale) grants to Forever Communications the right to utilize the act’s (and accompanying persons) name, likeness, image, voice, appearance, and performance in perpetuity worldwide for advertising, trade or any other lawful promotional purposes whatsoever, in any and all media now known or thereafter developed, with out compensation. I/we also grant Forever Communication the right to broadcast, market, sell and otherwise distribute my name, image, likeness, voice, appearance and performance, either in whole or parts for commercial, non-commercial television, close-circuit exhibition, home video distribution, internet or any other purpose Forever Communications, in their sole discretion may determine. I/we hereby give all clearance, copyright or otherwise, for the use of my name, likeness, image, voice, appearance, and performance embodied in my/our performance. If under 18 years of age, parent or guardian must sign the entry form.

Assumption of Risk and Good Character Clause:

1. In consideration of the acceptance of my registration entry, I, the undersigned, assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident, which may occur, during my participation in the "Froggyland Idol." I hereby release Froggy 103.7, and it’s parent company Forever Communications, all sponsors, their subsidiaries, and employees from any and all claims, demands, rights, or causes of action, present or future, whether known, anticipated, or unanticipated resulting from or arising out of, or incident to, in whole or in part, my participation in the "Froggyland Idol” and related activities whether or not caused by the negligence of any of the parties released hereby. I understand that I must act in a safe manner. I understand that no one is authorized to make statements or representations either verbally or in writing which in any way contradict this Waiver and Release of Claims. I have read and signed the Rules and Regulations Form, as well as the Good Character Clause.
2. The act agrees that it may be disqualified immediately from any level of Froggyland Idol competition if the act commits any action or becomes involved in any situation that would adversely reflect on Froggy 103.7 or any party furnishing a prize, or tend to bring it or that party into public disrepute.

Eligibility:

1. I have not performed on a record listed in Billboard, Radio and Records or the Gavin Report within twelve months preceding Froggyland Idol.
2. I have paid the $5.00 registration fee before performing live at an open audition.
3. I am not an owner, controlling stockholder or employee of and am no related by birth or marriage, nor do I live in the same household as the local open audition judges, Froggy 103.7, or participating sponsors.
4. I have never been the final winner of Froggyland Idol from previous years.
